Academic Advising Syllabus
The Academic Advising Syllabus (PDF) is a contract between the Academic Advising and Planning Center and the students we serve. Similar to a syllabus a student would receive in an academic course, the Advising Syllabus identifies what we teach students as a result of the advising experience and how that learning is achieved. It further outlines expectations of students, including participation in the advising process, homework and mandatory advising meetings. Important advising related dates and academic deadlines are included as well. All students served by our office are given a paper copy of the Advising Syllabus during New Student Orientation and are encouraged to reference it regularly.
