How to Book An Advising Appointment

  1. Submit your completed Advising Appointment Preparation Worksheet from the OAKS course prior to your scheduled advising session.
  2. Go to MyPortal > Appointments >Appointment Manager (Students) and log in using your CofC username and password.
In Appointment Manager, under My Assigned Advisors, click on your advisor's name.
    b. Follow the prompts to select a time to meet.
  3. Fully complete your OAKS Advising module at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled advising session. This could take up to two hours to complete. Failure to do so will result in your being delayed during the advising session.
  4. Attend your mandatory individual advising session in its entirety.
Freshmen will NOT be able to register for next semester courses until they complete both their OAKS Advising module and their Mandatory Advising Appointment.

A registration hold will be placed on your account and can only be lifted by your academic advisor in the AAPC after you complete BOTH the OAKS Advising Module and the Advising Appointment. You will NOT be able to register for next semester classes if you do not complete all advising requirements.

Click here to find the date of your open registration and plan accordingly. If you wait too long to complete these requirements, spots will not be available when you want one, so do not procrastinate.

Schedule your advising appointment in the AAPC online through the Appointment Manager channel on the Academic Services tab in MyCharleston or call our office at 843-953-5981. You will receive an appointment confirmation email when the scheduling process is complete.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
